This unique system, just introduced, combines the functions of stacking and collating products, as well as applying a shrink sleeve to the multipack. The PDC StackAlign Collator takes individual products from a tabletop infeed conveyor, counts and stacks them, then places the stacks on a fixed pedestals on a servo driven indexing conveyor. Stacks are advanced under the point of application, and are centered and aligned, prior to the sleeve being applied. Stacks are indexed through an inspection station and then a dual-zone shrink tunnel to complete the process.
