PDC Brings More Speed to its Reliable R-Series with New R-150 Shrinklabeler

Norwalk, CT (September 14, 2021) — With the launching of its new R-150 shrinklabeler, PDC International now offers an even more advanced version of its versatile and cost-efficient R-series machines. The R-150 is engineered for continuous operation at higher speeds than the popular R-100, with the ability to handle up to 150 containers per minute. It is a highly versatile sleeving machine that contract packers, food, beverage, and vitamin/supplement companies will find ideal for applying shrinksleeve labels and twin packs.

The R-150’s product handling system accommodates most product sizes and shapes; graphic orientation can be maintained for labeling oval, square and other non-round packages. Plus, containers can run through the R-150 filled or empty. PVC, PETG, OPS, and labels in gauges as thin as 30 microns are all compatible with the machine.

The R-150 is an economical, highly flexible, and ruggedly designed shrinksleeving machine. As with all of the R-series machines, it is built primarily mechanical using no vacuum, pneumatics or fragile spinning knives. The machine includes several of PDC’s patented features, including its Mandrel technology, which allows for high speed, thin film applications. PDC’s micro-perforation cutting system comes standard on the R-150, extending blade life and maximizing uptime and productivity.

“We realized our customers were looking for an economical, sturdy machine with a small footprint that could label a variety of shapes at high speeds. The R-150 meets these requirements perfectly,” says PDC President Gary Tantimonico.

With its proven PDC technology and improved product handling speed, the robust R-150 provides consistent and dependable performance, ensuring highly efficient operation year after year.
